Friday, March 27th – settlement day for the April Contract – saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.644, a penny above Thursday’s closing price of $1.637.  In a slow day of trading, the contract marked an intraday low of $1.597 as markets opened and managed to record an intraday high of $1.650 ahead of closing.  Feeling the impact of the economic slowdown due to the Coronavirus combined with seasonal temperatures, we may see prices dip below $1.600 again.  The April contract settled lower on Friday at $1.634.  The more actively traded May contract closed lower at $1.671.

As of 7:15AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.13; Natural Gas was down four cents; Heating Oil was down three cents; and Gasoline was down seven cents.
