Tuesday, March 2nd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.819, four cents above Monday’s closing price of $2.777. In a bumpy day of trading, prices quickly fell to their intraday low of $2.795 at 9:30AM. After reaching their low for the day, prices took a sharp turn to reach their intraday high of $2.857 an hour later at 10:40AM. Following an afternoon of upward and downward runs, the closing price settled at $2.839, more than six cents above the previous day’s close.
As of 9:01AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up eighty-two cents; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was up one cent.
