nd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.781, roughly four cents below Thursday’s closing price of $2.821. Recording the intraday high of $2.784 within minutes of opening, prices soon trended lower as traders tried to gauge the impact of warming weather forecasts and below-average storage levels as the injection season is almost upon us. Crossing midday near $2.765, the contract fell to the intraday low of $2.749 ahead of 2:30PM as April closed lower on Friday at $2.753.
As of 8:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 24 cents; Natural Gas was down four cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down two cents.
