December NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $5.186 on Monday, November 1st

Monday, November 1st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $5.331, nearly ten cents below Friday’s closing price of $5.426. Jumping to an intraday high of $5.441 soon after the opening bell, prices trended decidedly lower as the latest forecasts failed to impress.  Crossing midday near $5.295, the contract fell to an intraday low of $5.153 at 1:30PM. December closed lower on Monday at $5.186, down 4.4%.
 
As of 6:15AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 20 cents; Natural Gas was up thirteen cents; Heating Oil was down slightly; and Gasoline was up slightly.
