Monday, January 10th – saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $4.156, twenty-four cents above Friday’s closing price of $3.916. Ascending to a near two-week intraday high of $4.178 within minutes of the opening bell, prices then moved decidedly lower as markets corrected following the pre-session jump. Marking an intraday low of $3.977 at 11:00AM, the contract recovered to trade near $4.080 through the afternoon hours. February closed higher on Monday at $4.079.
 
As of 6:10AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.11; Natural Gas was down six cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up three cents.
