th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.202, even to Friday’s closing price of $2.202. Extending to an intraday high of $2.206 as markets opened, prices soon trended lower and stabilized near $2.175. Fluctuating along this level for the balance of the day, touching down to an intraday low of $2.163 at 11:50AM, traders are awaiting confirmation on the possibility of frigid temperatures moving in later this week. February closed lower on Monday at $2.182.
As of 8:50AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 48 cents; Natural Gas was up five cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline up two cents.
