Monday, June 25th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.904, four cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.945.  Marking the intraday low of $2.900 minutes after markets opened, the contract mounted an unsteady ascent through the morning to reach an intraday high of $2.931 at midday.  With above-average temperatures not expected to return until next week, traders will need some motivation to break from this low $2.90’s sideways trading.  Two days ahead of settlement, July closed lower on Monday at $2.923 while the August contract closed two cents lower at $2.921.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up five cents; Natural Gas was unchanged; Heating Oil was up two cents; and, Gasoline was up two cents.
