March NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.405 on Monday, February 13th

Monday, February 13th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.441, seven cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.514. Trading along either side of $2.450 for the majority of the morning hours, traders had the pleasure of weighing bearish fundamentals against the possibility of the Freeport LNG terminal returning to operate at full capacity. Climbing to the intraday high of $2.529 ahead of midday, prices then cascaded lower to tally the intraday low of $2.376 at 2:00PM. March closed lower on Monday at $2.405.

As of 7:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.15; Natural Gas was up ten cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was down two cents.
