Friday, April 12th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.682, nearly two cents above Thursday’s closing price of $2.664.  Rising to the intraday high of $2.688 by 9:10AM, buyers soon exited the market as prices floated downward to stabilize near $2.655 by 11:30AM.  Persisting along this mark into the late afternoon, the contract seems to have exhausted the momentum that supported a climb to the $2.70 level earlier this week.  May closed nearly even for the day and for the week at $2.660.

As of 8:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 64 cents; Natural Gas was down four cents; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was down three cents.
