Natural gas and electricity price fluctuations in New England are causing concerns as the winter season quickly approaches.  The current natural gas storage levels combined with increased demand on New England’s natural gas supply feeding liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports to Europe and Asia may cause pressure on the supply chain.  The potential for a strained supply chain coupled with unpredictable winter weather may lead to a significant impact on local natural gas prices. New England utilities are beginning to review and update their winter natural gas and electricity rates, including National Grid which shared the following proposed electricity rates.*
