November NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $5.477 on Wednesday, September 29th

Wednesday, September 29th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $5.737, fourteen cents below Tuesday’s closing price of $5.880. Tallying the intraday high as the opening bell rang out across the land, the contract began its predicted pullback following the previous session’s volatility. Trading near $5.560 by midday, prices withdrew further until reaching an intraday low of $5.421 at 1:00PM.  November closed lower on Wednesday at $5.477.
 
The EIA Natural Gas Storage Report is due out on Thursday at 10:30AM. The report is expected to show an 86 BCF injection to storage for the week ended September 24th.  This compares to a 76 BCF injection at this time last year and a five-year average injection amount of 72 BCF.
 
As of 6:25AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 14 cents; Natural Gas was up 18 cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up two cents.
