Monday, October 4th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $5.877, sixteen cents above Friday’s closing price of $5.619. Ascending to an intraday high of $6.064 ahead of 10:00AM, LNG export demand continued to prop up the contract throughout the day despite bearish weather conditions. Crossing midday near $5.925 and marking an intraday low of $5.752 at 2:20PM, November closed higher on Monday at $5.766.
As of 6:35AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 32 cents; Natural Gas was up twenty cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up one cent.
