Monday, August 30th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $4.323, sixteen cents below Friday’s closing price of $4.388. Trending downward through the day’s opening hour as Hurricane Ida had made landfall the day before, largely sparing natural gas infrastructure, prices fell to an intraday low of $4.222 at 10:00AM. Recovering into the afternoon to mark an intraday high of $4.344 at 1:20PM, October closed lower on Monday at $4.305.
As of 6:40AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 57 cents; Natural Gas was unchanged; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline down three cents.
