Monday, September 20th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $5.087, eleven cents below Thursday’s closing price of $5.105. Posting a choppy ascent to attain an intraday high of $5.172 at 11:30AM, prices then pulled as updated forecasts called for a decline to weather-driven demand in the short term. Crossing midday near $5.090 and slipping to an intraday low of $4.969 at 1:50PM, October closed lower on Monday at $4.985.
As of 6:25AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 75 cents; Natural Gas was up four cents; Heating Oil was up three cents; and Gasoline was one cent.
