Local Energy Company Donates $100,000, Launches Online Form for Funding Requests 

Portsmouth, NH – Sprague Operating Resources LLC, (“Sprague”), headquartered in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, donates more than $100,000 annually benefitting dozens of organizations throughout its footprint with its charitable contribution program. The corporate-level program prioritizes organizations and projects benefiting children and the environment.

Each year, Sprague donates more than $100,000 to give back to the communities in which its employees live and work. 

Sprague’s past donation highlights include sponsoring the Seacoast Science Center’s H20 Today exhibit and their interactive Tide Pool Touch Tank (Rye, NH), contributing to Lifting Up Westchester’s Brighter Futures Summer Camp (White Plains, NY), fund program activities benefiting 160 Bridgeport and Stamford youth (Connecticut), and sponsoring the Children’s Museum of NH’s (Dover, NH), New Hampshire Maker and Food Fest. Red’s Good Vibes (Portsmouth, NH) also received funding to support their mobile giving organization which provides food to families impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

“As we navigate these challenging times, it’s important not to forget about those who have been adversely affected,” said David Glendon, President and CEO at Sprague. “We feel fortunate to have the ability to provide funding to so many great organizations making a difference in the communities in which we live and work.”

New this year, Sprague launched an online interactive form to collect funding requests. Applications must be submitted through the website’s form each year funding is needed. The annual funding application deadline is April 1 each year.

In addition to the corporate level giving program, Sprague has an employee team called JustGive that encourages employees to donate to local organizations through monetary contributions, coats for colder weather, and toys for the holidays. Any organizations that request dollars at the corporate level giving program are also shared with the JustGive team for consideration.
