th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.401, three cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.430. Taking flight from the intraday low as markets opened, prices surged higher to eclipse $2.560 at 10:00AM and marking the intraday high of $2.626 an hour later. Spurred on by a bullish forecast that’s expected to last until early April, the contract traded primarily on either side of $2.580 through the afternoon, April closed higher on Monday at $2.606.
As of 8:10AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.21; Natural Gas was up slightly; Heating Oil was up slightly; and Gasoline was down one cent.
