rd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.863, nearly even to Monday’s closing price of $2.862. Descending to the intraday low of $2.852 minutes after the day’s session opened, oversold sentiments soon drove the contract upward. Trading sideways near $2.875 through 11:30AM, prices then shot up to the intraday high of $2.903 at 12:10PM. Losing support as the afternoon drew on, August managed to close higher on Tuesday at $2.870.
The NYMEX was closed yesterday, July 4
th in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 20 cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was up two cents; and, Gasoline was up one cent. Additionally, cash prices were lower in New York and New England.
