Tuesday, December 28th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $3.972, almost nine cents below Monday’s closing price of $4.060. Prices would drop to their intraday low of $3.955 minutes after open, around 9:40AM. For the second consecutive day, prices saw steady, almost linear growth until about 2:00PM. Prices then dropped for a moment before rebounding to an intraday high of $4.073 just before close. The January contract closed out the day at $4.055.
As of 9:50AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $.33; Natural Gas was up six cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
