th saw the January NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $6.111, forty-nine cents below Friday’s closing price of $6.600. Recording the intraday high of $6.136 within minutes of the open, prices then continued lower as weekend forecasts turned unseasonably warm after the Christmas holiday. Falling to $5.936 by midday and an intraday low of $5.839 ahead of 2:30PM, January closed lower on Monday at $5.851.
As of 7:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.00; Natural Gas was down 16 cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up slightly.
