Monday, September 14th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.368, ten cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.269. Climbing to an intraday high of $2.385 soon after 9:00AM, prices trended gradually lower throughout the day as Hurricane Sally was on track to miss natural gas infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico. Tallying an intraday low of $2.284 at 1:10PM, the October contract closed higher on Monday at $2.310.
As of 7:10AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 65 cents; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was up slightly; and Gasoline was up one cent.
