April NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $5.508 on Monday, March 28th

Monday, March 28th saw the April NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at of $5.454, twelve cents below Friday’s closing price of $5.571. Falling to an intraday low of $5.419 within minutes of the open, prices rose in the following ninety minutes to mark the intraday high of $5.563 at 10:30AM. Underpinned by short-term below average temperatures and steady LNG exports, April closed lower on Monday at $5.508. Posting similar gains last week, the May contract closed lower on Monday at $5.538.

As of 6:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.08; Natural Gas was down 15 cents; Heating Oil was up three cents; and Gasoline was up six cents.
