August NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $3.660 on Wednesday, July 14th

Wednesday, July 14th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at an intraday high of $3.755, six cents above Friday’s closing price of $3.696. After open, prices fell steadily until bottoming out at their intraday low of $3.624 at 1:10PM. After a quick bounce in the afternoon, prices closed out the day at $3.660.

The EIA Natural Gas Storage Report is due out on Thursday at 10:30AM. The report is expected to show a 50 BCF injection to storage for the week ended July 9th .  This compares to a 46 BCF injection at this time last year and a five-year average injection amount of 54 BCF.

As of 9:05AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down one dollar and three cents; Natural Gas was down three cents; Heating Oil was down three cents; and Gasoline was down three cents.
