nd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.613, roughly five cents above Thursday’s closing price of $2.567. Climbing from an intraday low of $2.607 shortly after the opening bell, prices soon trended higher to settle-in along the $2.64 level by 10:00AM. Moving gradually higher into the afternoon, supported by short covering and bullish short-term forecasts, the contract rose to a five day intraday high of $2.675 by 2:20PM. The December contract finished higher on Friday at $2.665, down two cents on the week.
As of 8:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was unchanged; Natural Gas was down 12 cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
