December NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.697 on Monday, November 16th

Monday, November 16th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.840, fifteen cents below Friday’s closing price $2.995.  Peaking at an intraday high of $2.841 within minutes of the opening bell, the contract withdrew to the $2.760 as weather forecasts turned bearish over the weekend, with above-average temperatures now possibly persisting into the end of the month.  Falling to a one-month intraday low of $2.682 at 2:10PM, December closed lower on Monday at $2.697.

As of 8:50AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 60 cents; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was down two cents.
