December NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $5.427 on Monday, November 8th

Monday, November 8th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $5.579, fourteen cents below Thursday’s closing price of $5.516. Falling to $5.428 early on as forecasts softened over the weekend, the contract then rose to an intraday high of $5.600 at 9:40AM.  Crossing midday near $5.530, prices rose once again to threaten the $5.600 level only to withdraw heading into the close. Reaching an intraday low of $5.412 ahead of 2:30PM, December closed lower on Monday at $5.427.
 
As of 6:10AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 40 cents; Natural Gas was down three cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up three cents.
