Monday, January 27th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.963, seven cents above Friday’s closing price of $1.893.  Tallying the intraday high as the opening bell rang, the early morning rally quickly faded, as the market was eager to continue last week’s selloff.  Slipping below $1.905 by 11:00AM, a bout of buying relieved pressure for the early afternoon as the contract hovered near $1.920.  Ultimately falling to an intraday low of $1.896, February closed higher on Monday at $1.902.

As of 8:40AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 23 cents; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up one cent.
