Wednesday, January 20th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.472, seven cents below Tuesday’s closing price of $2.546.  Edging lower to mark a three-week intraday low of $2.454 at 10:40AM, traders are losing faith in the arrival of frigid temperatures at the end of the month.  Crossing midday near $2.470, prices rose to an intraday high of $2.544 ahead of 2:30PM.  February closed lower on Wednesday at $2.539.

As of 6:50AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 40 cents; Natural Gas was down seven cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
