th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.151, two cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.130. Climbing to an intraday high of $2.160 by 9:30AM, a steady selloff then took hold to drive prices to the intraday low of $2.113 at 11:00AM. Keeping an eye out for a short-covering rally while monitoring short-term weather forecasts, the contract posted an uncertain recovery into the afternoon. February closed higher on Monday at $2.135.
As of 8:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 47 cents; Natural Gas was down two cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline down two cents.
