th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.328, three cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.296. Jumping above $2.350 soon after markets opened, prices tallied an intraday high of $2.377 at 10:20AM. Updated weather forecasts and reports on expected production in the coming year provided support for the balance of the day as the contract floated along either side of $2.360. January closed higher on Monday at $2.341.
As of 8:40AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 31 cents; Natural Gas was down three cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up one cent.
