July NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $1.777 on Tuesday, June 2nd

Tuesday, June 2nd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.786, a penny above Monday’s closing price of $1.774.  In a relatively calm day of trading, the contract fluctuated within two cents of $1.785 for the duration of the session as markets stabilize and look to the next catalyst.  Reaching an intraday high of $1.801 at 11:10AM and an intraday low of $1.766 at 2:00PM, July closed nearly flat on Tuesday at $1.777.

As of 8:15AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 38 cents; Natural Gas was up four cents; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was down two cents.
