July NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.357 on Monday, June 10th

Monday, June 10th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.350, more than a penny above Friday’s closing price of $2.337.  With hopes of warmer temperatures arriving for the second half of June, the contract posted a staggered ascent throughout the day as each round of buying drove prices cautiously higher.  Tallying an intraday low of $2.334 at 10:30AM and an intraday high of $2.365 nearly an hour later, prices swung along either side of $2.350 as the afternoon drew on as July closed higher on Monday at $2.357.

As of 8:55AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 68 cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up two cents.
