June NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $7.026 on Monday, May 9th

Monday, May 9th saw the June NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $7.856, nineteen cents below Friday’s closing price of $8.043. Recording the intraday high of $7.865 within minutes of the open, prices withdrew to continue Friday’s selloff as production concerns ease. Keep in mind that LNG exports remain strong, and an expected heavy cooling season lies ahead. Tumbling to $7.393 at midday, the contract fell to an intraday low of $7.011 ahead of 2:30PM. June closed lower on Monday at $7.026.

As of 6:40AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.51; Natural Gas was down 17 cents; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was down five cents.
