March NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $1.905 on Friday, February 21st

Friday, February 21st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.878, four cents below Thursday’s closing price of $1.920.  Climbing from the intraday low upon the market’s opening, prices rose cautiously throughout the morning to cross midday near $1.904 and extend to an intraday high of $1.925 at 12:20PM.  Down roughly ten cents from the previous day’s high, March closed lower on the day at $1.905, up nearly 4% on the week.

As of 9:05AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $2.52; Natural Gas was down five cents; Heating Oil was down seven cents; and Gasoline was down seven cents.
