th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.778, eight cents below Friday’s closing price of $1.858. Trading modestly higher in the day’s opening ninety minutes, prices tallied an intraday high of $1.797 at 10:10AM as updated bearish forecasts have pulled the rug out from under last week’s late rally. Descending into the afternoon, the contract fell to a fresh multi-year intraday low of $1.759 at 1:30PM as March closed lower on Monday at $1.766.
As of 8:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 88 cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up one cent.
