Tuesday, September 29th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.664, thirteen cents below Monday’s closing price of $2.795.  Marking the intraday high as markets opened, the pre-session freefall persisted until midday when prices reached $2.535 at 11:50AM.  Finding the intraday low of $2.531 nearly two hours later, bearish forecasts have limited heating demand for the time being.  The November contract closed lower on Tuesday at $2.561.

As of 8:55AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down eight cents; Natural Gas was down nine cents; Heating Oil was unchanged; and Gasoline was down two cents.
