November NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.288 on Tuesday, October 8th

Tuesday, October 8th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.286, two cents below Monday’s closing price of $2.303.  Awaiting direction from the next market catalyst, be it storage or weather directed, prices traded sideways on Tuesday, fluctuating along either side of $2.280 for the duration of the session.  Reaching an intraday high of $2.299 at 11:40AM and an intraday low of $2.266 nearly an hour later, November closed lower on Tuesday at $2.288 as trader indecision persists.

As of 8:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 48 cents; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up one cent.
