October NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.362 on Tuesday, September 15th

Tuesday, September 15th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.328, two cents above Monday’s closing price of $2.310.  Ascending from an intraday low of $2.304 near 9:15AM, disrupted production in the Gulf due to Hurricane Sally drove prices to an intraday high of $2.383 at 11:30AM.  Trading sideways along $2.370 for the balance of the day, October closed higher on Tuesday at $2.362.

As of 8:40AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 86 cents; Natural Gas was down three cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up two cents.
