October NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $5.231 on Monday, September 13th

Monday, September 13th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $5.176, twenty-four cents above Friday’s closing price of $4.938. Marking an intraday low of $5.116 by 9:20AM, the contract continued its pre-session rally to overtake $5.220 by midday. Ascending to a fresh seven-year intraday high of $5.289, concerns of disturbed production following Hurricane Ida and additional storms brewing in the Atlantic have traders worried about low storage levels. October closed higher on Monday at $5.231.
 
As of 6:50AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 48 cents; Natural Gas was up nine cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up one cent.
