October NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $7.752 on Monday, September 19th

Monday, September 19th saw the October NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $7.436, thirty-three cents below Friday’s closing price of $7.764. Losing ground overnight in a continuation of Friday’s bearish sentiment, the contract marked an intraday low of $7.420 within minutes of opening. Despite forecasts for comfortable temperatures, traders were eager to take advantage of the recently diminished contract, sending it to its apex of $7.923 ahead of midday. October closed higher on Monday at $7.752.

As of 7:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up seven cents; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was up four cents; and Gasoline was up two cents.
