Tuesday, July 9th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.373, three cents below Monday’s closing price of $2.403. Touching the intraday low of $2.370 shortly after markets opened, the contract mounted a staggered ascent to reclaim overnight losses. Reaching an intraday high of $2.437 by 12:40PM, as long-term forecasts remain supportive, prices seesawed along $2.425 for the balance of the day as August closed higher on Tuesday at $2.425.
As of 8:55AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.31; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was up five cents; and Gasoline was up four cents.
