Monday, November 25th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.527, fourteen cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.665. Tripping out of the gate to fall to an intraday low of $2.510, pre-session trading saw the contract post a precipitous fall from the $2.700 level. Battling against updated bearish forecasts, calling for more seasonal temperatures, prices then rose to fluctuate along $2.550 through midday, tallying an intraday high of $2.561 at 10:50AM. Descending into the afternoon, December closed 5% lower on Monday at $2.531.
As of 8:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 37 cents; Natural Gas was down five cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up two cents.
