Friday, June 8th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.888, four cents below Thursday’s closing price of $2.930. Falling to the intraday low of $2.875 soon after markets opened, the contract traded relatively sideways into the afternoon following Thursday’s turbulent activity. With immaterial updates to short-term weather forecasts, July traded within a penny of $2.885 for the majority of the day to close lower on Friday at $2.890.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 60 cents; Natural Gas was up five cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and, Gasoline was down two cents.
