Monday, May 21st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.829, two cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.847. Climbing to the intraday high of $2.847 out of the gate, prices quickly realigned to market fundamentals and fell to the $2.82 level as updated forecasts are calling for diminished cooling demand. Trading along this mark for the majority of the day, the contract fell to the intraday low of $2.806 before closing lower on Monday at $2.810.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 31 cents; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and, Gasoline was up one cent.
