Tuesday, February 4th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.834, nearly two cents above Monday’s closing price of $1.819. Recording an intraday low of $1.827 soon after markets opened, prices trended higher through the morning to reach $1.860 by midday. Supported by traders finding value in the recently diminished contract, March rose to an intraday high of $1.888 before closing higher on Tuesday at $1.872.
As of 8:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.36; Natural Gas was down three cents; Heating Oil was up five cents; and Gasoline was up three cents.
