Monday, April 22nd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.524, roughly three cents above Thursday’s closing price of $2.490. Impacted by oversold conditions and climbing oil markets, prices were higher on Monday following last week’s three-year lows. In a largely uneventful day, the contract marked an intraday low of $2.510 at 11:00AM and an intraday high of $2.530 at 12:20PM, as May closed higher on Monday at $2.524.
As of 8:40AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 10 cents; Natural Gas was unchanged; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was down slightly.
