Monday, April 12th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.583, six cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.526. Ascending to an intraday high of $2.599 within minutes of 9:00AM, the contract found an intraday low of $2.531 an hour later. Trading along either side of $2.555 for the balance of the session, weather forecasts are keeping traders on their toes as demand wanes. May closed higher on Monday at $2.561.
As of 6:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 61 cents; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up one cent.
