Friday, September 28th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.994, roughly six cents below Thursday’s closing price of $3.056. Returning Thursday’s gains overnight, prices reflected a reevaluation of current demand and short-term weather forecasts. Arcing above $3.01 by 9:20AM, only to sink to the intraday low of $2.977 forty minutes later, the contract then posted a steady ascent to the intraday high of $3.013 by midday. Fluctuating within this range over the balance of the day, November closed lower on Friday at $3.008.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 19 cents; Natural Gas was up seven cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and, Gasoline was up slightly.
