Friday, September 6th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.422, a penny below Thursday’s closing price of $2.435. Finding continued support early on from the short-covering rally, rising from the intraday low of $2.419, prices surpassed $2.485 by 10:30AM and continued higher. Leveling off near $2.500 by midday, the contract rose to a three-month intraday high of $2.505 at 1:10PM, as October closed higher on Friday at $2.496.
As of 8:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 46 cents; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was unchanged.
