Tuesday, September 6th saw the October NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $8.404, thirty-eight cents below Friday’s closing price of $8.786. Following the long weekend, prices trended lower as comfortable shoulder-month temperatures set it, easing the call for cooling demand. Marking the intraday high of $8.492 ahead of midday, the contract posted additional losses through the afternoon. Reaching an intraday low of $8.074 at 2:00PM, October closed lower on Monday at $8.145.
As of 7:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 42 cents; Natural Gas was down 12 cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up four cents.
