Monday, August 15th saw the September NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $8.520, twenty-five cents below Friday’s closing price $8.768. Losing ground over the weekend due to updated forecasts, which lost a few cooling degree days, prices marked the intraday low of $8.403 at 9:40AM. Mounting a steady ascent from here, the contract rose to achieve an intraday high of $8.936 ahead of 1:00PM. September closed slightly lower on Monday at $8.728.
As of 7:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 56 cents ; Natural Gas was up 28 cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was down two cents.
